I am using Filemaker 8.5
Any help with this problem would really go a long way, been racking my brain over it for 2 days, I found some help on other posts but not exactly what I want to do, so let me try and explain the best I can for what I want to do.
I have two databases, one called sales, and one called siteid. Each sales record has a quote number field, and is unique to each record. now in the siteid database, each record has a unique siteid field, but can have the same quote number. I.E: one customer could buy 9 sites on one quote, so that would be mean for each unique site id, it will have the same quote number.
that is not the problem, now here is the problem. on the sales database layout, i want to have a drop down field for the site id database which relate only to the quote number, using the drop down option with the value list of the siteid field from the siteid database it brings up all the records in the database, all i want it to do is to just show the siteid fields which relate to the quote number.
I hope you understand what I mean, i have been trying all day to do it, but don't know how to.
