Value from sub report not updating 1

I am using Crystal 10.
I have a report and within it I have a subreport for Qty on hand. I am passing the Qty to the main report with a shared variable. The problem is that the Qty is not updating. When I run the subreport alone I get the correct Qty. But when I run the main report the information from the subreport does not seem to update, it just returns old information. Any thoughts on what might be wrong?

I'm new at this as well, but believe I know what the problem is. You need to reset the value in the subreport, or you'll keep getting the same number repeated.

Again, I'm new at helping out, but want to try to contribute for all the people that have helped me on this site. See if this works...

Place this in a group footer after your data:


//replace "X" with your shared variable
WhilePrintingRecords;
Shared NumberVar X;
X := 0;
