Valign not working DIV Tag 1

Can someone confirm that valign does not work with a DIV tag.

This is the impression i'm getting if I google it.

surely such a usefull tag allows alignment?

That is correct. The valign attribute applies to table elements only.

Crazy, completely crazy, oh well I'll have to remember in furture DIV tags aren't all they're cracked up to be.
