Can we have validations on a custom form in sharepoint 2010?

With SharePoint 2010 you have the option to edit the forms, like the New Item form in InfoPath, sky's the limit...

I have created a custom form has few dropdowns. based on there dropdown values selected, textbox value has to be auto populated.

DDA,DDB, DDC

if any of the dropdown set to No, the textbox value should be NO
else, it should be Yes.

You can take a stab at using advanced conditional formatting.

Use Java script:

Or setup the form with InfoPath. Going this route allows easy flexibility.
