Validation Routines...?

i was wondering if there are any prebuilt validation routines in VB 6.0 (SP5)?

basically I am wanting to prevent the user from entering incorrect information into text fields (e.g. dates, numbers, and such...).

is there a simple way to go about this, or do i need to code all the validation?
