Excel 2000 - When I type a list of values in the Source box, the validation works fine. When I name a range of cells on another worksheet in the same workbook using the Insert/Name/Define function and then enter =ValName in the Source box of the Data Validation box, it does not seem to validate at all. In other words, I can enter data that is not contained in the named range. The drop down list contains the correct values from the named range however. Any clues as to why the validation rule is not applied?
