Hi there,

Mitel 3300 CX running MCD 4.2, 102.0.26_2

since upgrading to this version from v9 or so, 5340s (all with Mitel DECT cordless headset) are not working at 1 remote site

TFTP seems to be erratic (across VPN) from this site, no border gateway/teleworker, so the DHCP option for TFTP at that remote site was pointing to a local windows server (at the site) running TFTP which in turn served up the Mitel files (this had been working for years)

so I grabbed the /tftp directory via FTP (in binary mode) from a Mitel running MCD 4.2/10.2.0.26 and moved this to the remote site, saw the phones download the .bin files, but still no go

errors like:

Source ViPER
Description ValidateProtocolVersions() -> Protocol version mismatch (required=1.2.9 actual=1.2.7), mac=08:00:0f:XX:XX:XX devType=0xc3 Device plid: 1/3/1/47
Module Main
File Name and Line Number ViPERIpResiliencyHandler.cpp;1052

I realised I'd grabbed the files from a slightly older release of MCD 4.2, so grabbed them from the actual controller the phones are trying to register too.

but, it doesn't seem to have helped.
I can remotely disable PoE on the switch the phones are on, to force them to reboot (and I'd assume grab new firmware, if available, via TFTP on boot) but still getting the same error

the required=1.2.9 actual=1.2.7 part has not changed

any ideas any one?

thanks
