Hello All,

I have a page that validates and inserts the data fine, I would like to be able to have an email sent as soon as the order comes in with some of the details of the order.
I am a little bit of a newbie so any help is appreciated

I use a number of mail clients, yahoo, hotmail and Outlook...
Does it have to use a mail client or can the details just be sent without opening Outlook or any other email program?

I'm not sure but is there a way to have the details emailed without using the default mail client?

What email program will you be using to send the email from the page from? This isn't about webmail or anything like that, but about what email program your web host has available for you to use.

Ok thanks,

I'm not actually at work right now so I'll have to look into that tomorrow. I assume that the methods are different depending what email program the host uses.

Woops, sorry.

I think the email is MS Outlook though.

You're not even close to understanding my question yet. What mail program are you running on the web server?

If you can't answer this question, then you can't have your web site send email.

I am trying to use ASPMail with SMTPsvg.Mailer (as recommended by my ISP) and test locally in IIS, I'm having a hard time finding a recent Eval copy of ASPMail though.

Does anyone know of a link where I can get a recent copy?

I found one but when I tried it, it said this evaluation has expired.
