Validate Email Address

Hi,

I have VB project that allows users to insert email addresses to a client listing and then sends emails to the clients. Hod do I validate that the email addresses are following the xxx@xxx.com format? Any suggestions is appreciated.

Are you wanting to validate against a known address, or just checking to see that the address is in roughly the right format? If the latter, it depends on whether all the emails will be to .com addresses since you could easily check in VB. I guess you would have to write a string handling routine to go through from start to end, checking for invalid characters.
