validate and count multiple records

Using Crystal XI to Access 2007 database

Group # ID
Start date End Date @Start @Archive
1/5/09 1/5/09 True False
12/5/09 12/5/09 False True
30/5/09 31/5/09 False True

For each Group #ID I and @Archive = True I need to confirm there is an @Start value = True then calculate
Maximum End date - Minimum End Date.

The max - min part is obvious but how can I validate for each Group Id and @archive = true there is an @start = true to calculate this value.

Also need count of the number of these validate @archive and @start = true instances.?????
