Validate an Email Address

I have a Form that prompts for Name, Phone No and Email Address information, and would like to verify that the entered Email address is indeed valid before writing it to the DB.

Any suggestions on how I may handle this? If necessary, I could limit the validation to approximately 20 domains.

Are there any existing Active X components that could handle this?
