Hi Guys. I am using VAL Manager 1.3.5 ugrade 1.1. We also recently upgraded our firmware on our S8300's to version 1.3.2. Prior to that I was able to copy, remove, add and backup annoucements without any problems. Now however I am getting the following error on when I try to add or remove any announcements on any of our S8300's.

Mon Jan 10 14:24:52 GMT 2005 **Task: Copy Announcement Files, Task ID: 6** Connection to Globix succeeded.
Mon Jan 10 14:24:52 GMT 2005 **Task: Copy Announcement Files, Task ID: 6** Announcement property information for Globix:019V9 has been updated.
Mon Jan 10 14:24:52 GMT 2005 VSCommandHandler enableFilesystem() com.avaya.eagle.centralpoint.DeviceRejectionException: 1 00000000 85b1 Entry is bad
Mon Jan 10 14:24:52 GMT 2005 **Task: Copy Announcement Files, Task ID: 6** Could not enable filesystem on board Globix:019V9. 1 00000000 85b1 Entry is bad
Mon Jan 10 14:24:52 GMT 2005 **Task: Copy Announcement Files, Task ID: 6** Connection to Globix terminated.

The connection is made, but the message saying "could not enable filesystem" has me stumped.

Any ideas?

Try the internet-explorer maintenance interface of your S8300 and check the security settings and look for FTP-outgoing and turn it on. (Allow)

You will need to upgrade you VAL software. That version will not work wit 1.3.2.

Thanks dmoore. I'm working on getting a later version of VAL manager.
