I have my VAL board setup and working fine, the ftp is working but I can only see a few files (about 25). I have 30 announcements recorded but can only backup 25 because I can't see the other file names. I'm using WS_FTP as my client. I've tried using other clients but they don't seem to work well with the VAL board is there something I'm missing?

Thanks

Jason

Have you tried using VAL manager to do the backups? I have never had any problems with it.

I don't think I have VAL manager I have the Admin software for the switch but I don't remember getting a CD with the VAL board.

It should have come with integrated management.

I don't see it on the CD and the only options I had during install were:
Required Components
Site Administration
VoIP Monitoring Manager Trial

I got this CD years ago and when I did my upgrade two years ago the only CD I remember getting was ECAS. I guess I try looking around again to see if there's another CD other than the Docs.

I also check Avaya's site and they only have patches to download no software (whata crock)

Nope can't find it. Does anyone know who I can call to get a copy? I have the Docs for Communication Manager on CD
CD info:
03-300151
issue 2
Comcode 70033579
June 2004

There's no software on the CD though just pdf files.

Does anyone have any ideas about this?
I've tried everything I can think of, from disabling the filesystem to erasing the announcements. I can only see the first 23 files. I know the files are there I can upload new files and see them but it won't use them.
Example:
one announcement file name aa5029
I recorded the announcement on the phone
I uploaded a different announcement aa5029
when I play the announcement it's the one I did on the phone and not the one I uploaded. So it seems there's something with the filenames for a different directory.

OK I found the problem, after I posted I download the new firmware for the card. Loaded it an what do you now it's working just the way it should. tn2501ap_f8-sig.bin is the file that fixed this problem just so everyone knows.

FYI you can download VAL manager from the download center on the Avaya site if you have a login setup

My previous post is bad info, sorry. Looks like you can only get the opdates there, not the actual app. Sorry

Yeah I did the same this on that site, I downloaded the patch the realized it was just the patch. Would still like to get the software from somewhere though.
