VAL backup

Hello,

I have my VAL configured and working in a S8800. When I try to make a backup I enter the command:

enable filexfer

then I enter the information

login
Password
Secure
Board address

I have an IP configured and the interface enabled but I can't ping the IP... any ideas what could be causeing the issue?

I checked the status link for my VAL and it says.. Link Status: Restarting.. what can be causing this?

I manually reseted the board and that resolved the issue. Thanks anyway!

Where you or are you trying to back up your announcements? If so use Val Manager.

sorry I didn't reply before. I did the backup using the Val Manager and also using ftp. It worked great!
