Is there a possibility to set company vacations in MS Project 2000, so that in the month of July, no work will be sceduled?
And if so, is it possible to set this period to a percentage of intensity (let's say, in this week, only 50% of the time will be available)

Or do I have to set it to the resources individually? (And what do you do then with a project plan where no resources are planned in yet?)

Thanx,
Smarty

Yes, you can schedule the entire month of July to be "Non-working time"

From the drop down menu of Tools, choose Change Working Time, select each white working day and change it to a grey nonworking day

Two additional points:

1. As for the "intensity" ... instead of simply marking the days as "non working" you could flag them as "Working Time" (the third radio button) and then indicate the number of hours to be worked on that particular day.

2. You will (of course you will, how silly of me to think you wouldn't) do all this in a calendar other than "standard". That way, "Standard" remains the, well, standard calendar and your corporate calendar (let's call it "Corporate") has the corporate specific information (like your month-long closure and various statutory holidays).

You'll then click on Project | Project Information ... and select the appropriate calendar at the calendar selection field.
