V9.0 and Netware 5.1

I have been having problems with BkupExec 9.0 for several months now. I keep getting Hardware Failure and Unreconized Media errors. I have a HP Dat 4.. I have tryed new tapes, different tapes, changing the SCSI ID, and also getting a new drive from HP. The funny thing is, I have a DAT 3 that when I hook that up it runs fine. I have the latest drivers for my server(Compaq ML530) as well as the latest build for BkUpExec. I found an article regarding setting the buffer size for Dat drives. but thats with v8.0-8.5..nothing on v9.0. has anyone had any problem like this before?

any help would be appreciated
