V8 Upgrading 1

I'm needing to upgrade from an older version of CR I believe 5.?. I can get V6 much cheaper but would spend the extra expense to go to V8 if I knew version 8 is suggnificately better the V6. Would appreciate your input.<br><br>&nbsp;

I inherited a lot of code in 4.5 and 5.0.&nbsp;&nbsp;Various people said that version 7 is the lowest version to upgrade to.<br><br>They were not wrong.
