v7.6.300C Running Pervasive or SQL?

I am doing some preliminary research for a client using Macola Progression v.7.6.300C. Can anyone tell me if this version automatically uses SQL or btrieve? I don't think the client will know if I ask and I don't have access (yet) to their server.

Being entirely unfamiliar with Macola I am getting conflicting answers when googling.

Thanks in advance for any info!!
