We have found something very disturbing when testing for something. We discovered that you can delete a batch in sales orders. Logically speaking you should not be able to do this but even if you could there should be some type of security build in with a password. We tested one order by shipping the order and just before our transfer to invoice process we tried to delete the batch that that order was in and low and behold you can do that. Puff!! not only was the batch gone but the order that was assigned to it. No record, not even in the history table. So now for future reference since there is no security we would like to find the audit trail file that we could reference incase this happens with live orders. We were only working with our testing system.

Thanks

Find out what tables hold this information and create an audit table with triggers on the tables, that way it will keep track of all of the changes in your audit table. You can get it to record the user who made the change. I have some of these setup in case something happens, that way you can see who made the change and what change they made.

So Brad what you are saying is that GP does not have any type of audit trail built in. This does not make sense. Something does not sound right.

You can check the help menu and search 'audit', but from what I've noticed with GP, there is no audit trail of what actions have occured in the past.

I believe there is something in SOP setup for order/invoice types that disallows you to delete documents or require a password.
