any one know if there is a new version of the voicemail card for version 3, as our test kit does not want to work with it???

Same card, so if it has worked for 2.1 it should work for 3.0, however a new method of operation to set it up with all its voicemail prompts.

In 3.0 it doesn't grab the audio prompt files it needs from Manager during a system restart.

I can't remember it all off the top of my head but basically:

- Set your Manager PC as the File Writer address in the Small Office configuration.

- Locate a folder called something like G723 (either on the Admin Apps CD or as a sub-folder of the Manager app (there should also be a G711 sub-folder)).

- There should be a batch file that takes the prompts contained in the G723 folder and transfers them using TFTP to the Small Office memory card.

- Let it stew for a long time (10 minutes) whilst it process whatever it processes.

I have a copy of the draft manual but its in the office and I'm not (Friday UK late evening). Do you also access the Yahoo IP Office forum - if yes and you can wait till Monday, I'll post it there.

thanks! I have the manual all ready but not in the notes.
Your thing worked ok... I need to write some notes on that!!
Do you only need to run the 723 batch file??( what is the 711 for?)
And whats the score with the voicemail button not working( need to enter your mailbox no) and also the short code (*17) needing to be deleted and then re entered before it works properly (confused)sorry i know only beta SW... is 3.14 any better?!?..

Not sure, but I think G711 batch is for IP406 V2, PCMCIA 512 MB card, which will not consume any VCM...

The G723 are compressed using that codec and get played back via the Small Offices VCM channels.

The G711 are non-compressed and are for the embedded voicemail on the new IP406 V2 control unit [does need to use VCM channels but with the drawback of uncompressed files so a large card but the same end result in terms of hours of message capacity]

Don't know about having to remove and rest the *17, hoepfully just a glitch.

Glad its working.
