I can not get the machine to stop at the ok prompt. The hardware boots up and then it autoboots into the OS. I need to interupt this proces to get to the ok prompt.ust can't remember how. I see in the OpenProm I can set a parm that says auto-boot false. That would take care of this, but I don;t know where.

STOP A will halt the boot process and give you an OK prompt

[Blue]Blue[/Blue] [Dragon]

If I wasn't Blue, I would just be a Dragon...

OR...if you have no SUN keyboard.

eeprom auto_boot?=false from the OS, then halt the server.

Of course this should be eeprom auto-boot?=false.
Hyphen not underscore....oops

If you're using a hyper-term or some terminal emulator without macros you can use 'ctrl+break' to send a kill signal to the OS.

You can also download something like TeraTerm and it has an option to 'Send break' to the OS for taking it down to the ok prompt.
