The backup machine has the key codes for the remote clients. so one license code may have a number of licenses. anyway, my question : If I put the remote client on a server, then later take the server offline. Does that license then become available for another server?
This has happened to me, but we are not able to add new servers ( I am waiting for more remote client licenses'). but I know that I have taken down serveral servers, that the remote client should become available for me to use on another server.
I noticed that if I were to do a restore.. the server id is still open for me to restore from the tape.
Any thoughts on this ?
