Does anyone know how to turn off unfilled objects being selected when you click inside them?

In v8 if I wanted to select the object, I'd simply click on the outline, but Corel in their wisdom have decided that in v10, if you click inside the unfilled space you are really trying to select the whole object.

This makes working with objects inside say for example a rectangle very difficult (all objects are on the same layer).

Does anyone know how to turn off this very annoying feature?

I'd be most grateful for any help (and so would the people around me!)

You must turn off "Treat All Objects as Filled". This was a feature in 9, as well. Irritating? Heck, yeah -- reminds me of Illustrator.

Go to Tools/Options/Workspace/Toolbox/Pick Tool

Deselect.

Be sure you download and install Service Pack 1, as well.

Guy - you're a star - thank you so much for taking the trouble to reply.
