I see this from time to time, but not every day.
running veritas backup 11d on 2003 server, remote server is also running 2003 server.
backup says failed.
Look at the log and it shows folders on remote server not being backup up, always a range of folders, like ones that start with S thru T, then starts up again.
no errors on the remote server itself.
here is the job log:
