There should be two 10-03 programs: PRI(T1) Configuration and PRI Configuration. Only one will be available depending on whether the card is set to be a T1 or a PRI. If you click on Cards in PC Pro you can change which type the T1 card is (T1 or PRI)
By default I think it comes up as a PRI and if the circuit is NI2/B8ZS/ESF it should just work without any programming on your part.
There are settings for trunks in 14-01, 14-05 and 14-06. 22-02 is where you set the trunks for DIDs on inbound. 22-09 is where you set the number of digits. 22-11 is the DID table.
Thanks for that. So basically am I adding the PRI trunks to a line group? After installing the card what is the first thing I do to enable the PRI to take incoming calls and make outgoing calls? I have worked with the SL1100, the IPK II and Aspire but all with analog trunks.
The UX5000 is essentially identical to the SL1100 so you'll be right at home.
I've worked on PRIs on the UX5000 but I have not installed one. On the SL1100 it comes right up as NI2, B8ZS, ESF, etc. Basically the defaults have always just worked. But if the UX5000 has different defaults 10-03 is where you'd change them.
They come right up as trunks and will behave just like POTS lines. Set then to DIDs in 22-02 for incoming and then instead of 22-05 and 22-08 you'll use 22-11 for your DIDs. The transfer targets 1 and 2 refer to the 22-05 and 22-08 ring groups.
If 14-02-11 is checked it should skip the dead POTS lines. I would either renumber the POTS lines to a different group in 14-05 or at least renumber the priority so that they end up at the end of the line selection list. Make sure the priority numbering stays sequential and in order. Most of the time it doesn't matter but sometimes I've had issues with dialing 9 to grab an outside line when the lines have gaps in the priority order.
