1.I have the following message when I login to account:
You have mail
UX:id: WARNING: userid not found in user database
2. Command id shows the following result (after uid not follows user name in the parenthesis):
uid=20001 gid=3(sys)
UX:id: WARNING: userid not found in user database
3.As well ls-l shows user id instead of user name:
-rw-r--r-- 1 20001 sys 0 Apr 2 20:03
-rwxr-xr-x 1 100 sys 887 Oct 22 2003
How can fix this problem. I have SCO UnixWare 7.1.1
Thanks a lot.

Not sure if this will fix the problem, but you can try it.

Verify that your user exists in /etc/passwd and that all fields for that user are correct in /etc/passwd.

Run pwconv
Run creatiadb

This is all done as root. You should be able to login with that UID now without that error. Sometimes the index and master files under /etc/security get corrupted and you have to recreate them manually.
