We recently moved our application to a new UNIX machine, and I am now getting an "unable to contact" error message when trying to uuto a file to a remote machine that worked in the past. As I recall, isn't there some kind of uuto or uucp password file on the remote machine that has to be updated with my new address before files can be received?

make sure the host machine has the remote machine identified in /etc/uucp/Systems (or wherever the uucp config files reside if different). i don't think you need the username entered into the /etc/uucp/Permissions file for uuto. it should transfer by default into PUBDIR, which is defined in the uucp source and should be defaulted to /var/spool/uucppublic

it's been about a year and a half since i worked with uucp, so i hope i'm not forgetting anything
