I am trying to setup a UUCP connection to a remote system which runs SCO. I have managed to obtain a connection to the system, but when the 'handshake' is required, the user name and password which I have specified in the /etc/uucp/Systems file is displayed on the screen as 'gobbledygook'. Hence the conection is broken at that point ...

Anybody else tried to do this, or seen the problem I am getting ?

Could you post a sample of what your System file entry looks like? Perhaps I can help, we are presently using uucp extensively on SCO.
