Hi,

Does anyone know of a good utility to run on Apache for user management?

I am looking for something that will allow me to efficiently handle a site with 1000-2000 regsitered users (maybe w/ mysql?). Currently we have all the users in htaccess.

Thanks

LDAP will work, either locally (OpenLDAP) or with external directories (eDirectory, Active Directory). There is also an auth module for Apache at though I haven't tried it.

Also, since you refer to "registered users", maybe a CMS like Postnuke or OpenCMS might work.
