Utilities to view Oracle Redo and Archive Logs

Hello! I was wondering if there were any utilities or Oracle functions that can be used to read Redo logs. I have a situation where I would like to view a transaction that took place a couple of days ago. Or maybe I am looking at the wrong logs, any advice? What is the recommended method of viewing the log information?

You should look at using logminer for this. Please read the documentation in chapter 7 of the Oracle 8i Adminstrator's Guide.
