hi,

sometimes we've got the problem that usrlogon.cmd doesn't run for a user.
after deleting the profile of the user ts creates a new profile and usrlogon.cmd starts correctly after login!

does anybody know an easier way to force terminal server to run the script again?

for other users everything works fine !

thanks
sascha

usrlogon.cmd runs from registry key
hklm\software\microsoft\windows nt\currentversion\winlogon
AppSetup=usrlogon.cmd;plus others!!

If one particular user can't run it, then you need to do some analysis! Work out why! Is it a permissions/group membership problem?

If you want to force it to run add it to that users registry stub in
hlcu\software\micrsoft\windows\run

And it will run from their!

Disclaimer:- I take no responsibility in the above if you mess up your server by altering the registry, ensure you back everything up and that you can recover should something go wrong!

Cheers,
Carl.

Must be something with the profile. because if i'm deleting it and with the new created it works fine. so i think it's not an permissions/group <membership problem!

but i've absolutly no idea what it can be!

i put a link in the autostart-folder, but this is not really satisfying.

i really would like to know what's the reason for this strange problem!

thanks
sascha
