Hi,

I am running a unixware 7.1.0 server. The root directory size has increased from 90% to 100% overnight. I have already gone through and cleared the regular logs such as /var/adm/wtmpx, /usr/adm/syslog, etc. I was only able to get the root directory down to 98%. I did an xlarge command on the root directory and noticed the following large logs:

/usr/vision/vfsdata/logs/saved.log
/usr/vision/vfsdata/logs/1/saved.log
/usr/vision/vfsdata/logs/2/saved.log
/usr/vision/vfsdata/logs/4/saved.log

What is the purpose of these logs and can they be cleared?

Tuan

These are related to the VisionFS product. If you don't care to review those logs, they can be cleared or removed. Just make sure they aren't currently in use by running the fuser command on them. Those saved under the sub-directory with a number (./1 ./2 ./4) are archived versions.
