/usr/lib/instl/sm_inst[25]: 18460 Memory fault (coredump)

Hello,

I'm trying to install software products in AIX version 5.1 by using the Install Software section from the smitty and when I press enter to run the install verification and installation I receive:

/usr/lib/instl/sm_inst[25]: 18460 Memory fault (coredump)

# No installable software products were found on the media.

If I go to /cdrom directory I can see the files of the products but the installation says there are no installable software products found on the media.

The real problem is the memory fault, not the media I would bet. As for how to fix it...? Do you have this happen doing other smit tasks? Is your machine memory-constrained? I'm not at all familiar with 5.1.
