One of the boxes I work on came up missing the date command in /usr/bin. So I just readded it from another box, but I am unable to track down how this server lost the command. No one from root deleted the command, no one was root who shouldn't have been either. Fsck.logs, powerchute, syslog, and osmlog all look fine, nothing was found in /lost+found. The command was lost Monday morning on the reboot process if that helps. I can't really see what went wrong. Does anyone have any ideas other than sometimes the system will just lose a command? Thanks.

My SCO 5.0.6 has the "date" command in /bin and not in /usr/bin. Do you have a copy in each place?
