When I am using Procomm on an XP box, if I have the numlock button on, I can not type in any numbers using those keypads. I have to turn the numblock off, then it will work. But when I go back to my other apps, I always have to remember to turn it back on!!

I hate that. I don't have this problem with 98 or less. Anyone solve this problem??? I manage a FREE FACS (Flexible Automated Collection System) support forum. It is a one of a kind web site. Please stop by:

Nevermind, I figured it out, it was the fact that the correct numbers & period were not mapped for when the numblock was off. I manage a FREE FACS (Flexible Automated Collection System) support forum. It is a one of a kind web site. Please stop by:

Hello,

I tried Loading Procomm 4.8 on a Windows XP Machine and It would not Load because PC 4.8 is not designed for XP. What Version of Procomm do you have Loaded on the XP Machine ???

Hank

Hank, I've seen on the Symantec forum that some people can install and run Procomm on XP and other people are not having any luck. If you don't need to fax capabilities of Procomm, try performing a custom install and only select the install options that you need. It's possible that the fax driver in Procomm is causing problems.

Thanks Knob,

May be Forced to go to XP but didn't want to because of my Heavy Dependency on Procomm.

Hank

I hear you. We just moved to XP as one of the supported platforms at work, but I haven't gotten around to loading Procomm on it yet as I'm usually working on NT or 2000 instead. I also don't have any modems on the machines, so I'm not sure how valid of a test it would be to install it.
