Using xmldom for a news page

Hi There,

I have a project where I have to create a news webpage, with the stories in xml. I need to create a front page with the headings of the stories, and use xmldom with javascript to pull up the stories when the heading is selected.

I can create the stories in xml, but I haven't got a clue with how to use xmldom in a query way, especially from a mouse click,

Any pointers or information
