Has anyone used xml in access?

Has anyone used an xml file as a configurational settings for functions or procedures in access.

I have a process to import spreadsheets, create forms reports, switchboard, ect. And I am looking for the best method to set configuration for such things as form background color, textbox back color, fore color, border size, border color, Report Styles, ect. I'm Your Huckleberry!
