I'm trying to access a text file in Word from a SCO OpenServer box. This can be done from one machine, no problem, but when I try to access a file from another, Word attempts to transfer it but fails eventually, and complains it cannot transfer it, although bizarrely I can still rename the file.
/etc/inetd.conf has the ftpd daemon activated and if I try to run it with the debug flag in syslog I get the message 'getpeername (/etc/ftpd): Socket operation on non-socket'
I cannot see any difference in the configuration of the two systems.
Any ideas?
