Using win32 API functions in cobol...

Hello,

When programming windows-bases applications, is there
an advantage to call the win32 "WinMain" Directly to get
the startup values, rather than using the older method
which is call "pc_win_init"?
I am using microfocus net express 3.1 cobol compiler
with windows xp pro.
