Hi,
I'm new to this forum and can use some advise. Who better to ask than those who use the product? My company is thinking of migrating to Goldmine 6.0 from Outlook and we were wondering how GM would perform on a beefed up MS Win XP Pro workstation. What are the obstacles? Is Win 2000 server a better platform and why?
Thanks in advance

Hi,

Obviously its better on a proper server, but then it depends on the number of users connecting. If your sub 10 users then a peer to peer environment you describe is absolutely fine.

Regards,

Richard.

There is a guide in The Wizard's Library on my web site, which will tell you how to configure GoldMine to work on a Windows XP Pro PC

Win XP Pro is a rights-issues nightmare until you get your mind around it. It took me quite a while when it first came out, just to enable to the securities tab.

Once it is up and running, it is a stable place to run GM. Do NOT let the system defaults run your install!

Hi,
Thanks for the tips I really appreciate it. TheIntWizard, I would like to check out the tips you have. What is the URL?
Thanks,
