Using Wildcards in Critera 1

I have a [Type Last Name] in a critera field for a query. I would like to use a wildcard or have a search function just in case I cant spell the last name perfectly. Thanks for any help

Ok in critera i put [Type Last Name] & '*'

When I ran the query and put in a partial last name I got nothing in the query. Is there someway I have to input the info into the pop up box? Like if i am looking for the last name Smith, but I cant remeber how to spell it, remember just an example, do I type Sm*, any help thanks

No, because of the & '*' you don't have to enter an asterisk when you enter the name. Are you sure the criteria is attached to the last name field??

In the Criteria put:

Like & "*" - for any character in a string.

Like "*" & [Enter any part of the name:] & "*" - For any word
