From what I read this control alloas TIF files to be displayed.

They don't for me.

I have tried adding an F as .TIFF but I can't get an image to show.

Anyone have any ideas please?

Other than that it works well for me.

Regards

William

Can you point out where you would have read this? I have always used WIA to manipulate image files rather than trying to show them.

Sorry I do not see in the articles your pointing the 'displaying' part. Getting properties from images and changing I understand.

Mike,

My apologies..

I have come back to this app after some time and now find that I use WIA to get data about each fil but use VFP6 code in a form

Code:
 ADDOBJECT ('imgcontrol1','Image')

to show the images.

Hence it is this control that does not show TIF files although I see TIF mentioned but for VFP 9.

Regards

William

Is it possible that the image control in VFP6 does not support TIF format? Check the help file in VFP6.

If I remember right, TIF support arrived in VFP 7.0. Before that, it was only BMPs and WMFs.

That was what I remembered. I haven't had VFP6 on my system for a longtime.
