Using WebMail calendar in multiple time zones....

We have 3 GroupWise servers, 1 setup with a seperate domain and PO to service each time zone we have an office in. One of our users in the PST time zone nearly missed an appointment because her 9AM appointment showed up as noon. Our main domain and PO are in the EST. We also have a GMT office. We have only 1 webmail server. The question is, with 1 webmail server, can you change the time zones in the webmail calendar depending on the timezone of the PO/domain? If not, id there a way to shutdown the calendar function so that users don't run into this problem in the future. I don't think multiple webmail servers is an option.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks.

The following information is straight out of Novell's GroupWise documentation for v6. Since I do not know the version of GW you are using, I throw this out as a possible remedy.
Later!

When creating and displaying appointments, messages, and so forth, GroupWise now uses the Windows time zone setting of the local machine, rather than the time zone of the POA. This allows users located in different time zones to be on the same post office and still have their appointments displayed correctly for their local time zone.

When users use Proxy to manage someone else's Mailbox or Calendar, appointments will display in the Calendar according to the proxy's time zone. (This is the opposite of how appointments were displayed when using Proxy in previous versions of GroupWise.)

Does this mean that since there is only 1 webmail server and it happens to be located in Boston that all users will pickup EST due to its Windows settings? Since there is no GroupWise software necessarily installed on their personal/home machine(s) I can't imagine that the date is coming from their workstation. If this is the case, is there a way to disable calendering in only the webmail client?

Thanks

Here again I can only speak for GW v6.x. If a user sets his workstations time zone under Control Panel/Date & Time/Time Zone then the GW desktop client will show all appointments based on that time zone setting. And if you go into the GW WebAccess client under Options/Time Zone and set the time zone, then all appointments viewed via the GW WebAccess client will be based upon that time zone setting. So in short, I guess what I am saying is you can set your time zone for whatever you want. Whether you are using the GW desktop client or the GW WebAccess client.

As far as disabling Calendaring in the WebAccess client, I myself have never run across such a switch that would either enable/disable this feature.
