I have a customer who called today he will be unable to get phone service from the local carrier untill mid oct due to storm damage

he does have broadband from cable company and has ordered Vonage voice lines

has anyone had experiance running them through a partner 11 ?

anything in particular I should be aware off ?

I guess it should be like coming off a connect reach or channelbank .

as long as the voltages are ok the partner shuldnt care where the dialtone is coming from

I have'nt worked with vonage yet I have followed threads here and other boards and the only issue I can see is relablity.

just a addtion to say the link and ad around the word *cable* above

wasn't me apperently its a new board feature for sponered links

skip555,
You are correct the Partner won't care, dial tone is dial tone. The only other issue I can think of is that I have seen problems with them not sending disconnect signal sometimes.

Yes I have seen some words that have a link. Must be a new feature (which I don't care for but that's just me)

A trusted source for years.

Hi skip555,
Telprog is right, far end disconnect seems to be a problem. The Partner won't release unless you can program a proper disconnect in the channel bank or whatever. A polarity reversal (brief) would be even nicer. I've never seen these units myself.
