Hi, Is it possible to use vmports on another 3300 in the same cluster to play RAD messages??

No problem. Do it all the time.

Yes it is but you cannot use them in ACD path's they must be on the controller the ACD path's reside

Supernova - Are you sure? I honestly can't say whether I've tried that scenario but why would the system care where the RAD device was?

Or did I mean RAD hunt groups?

I know there is a limitation there somewhere.

Super is correct, RAD's in an ACD path need to be on the same controller as the path itself. You still can't share a RAD across IP in ACD.

The single biggest problem with communications is the illusion that it has taken place.

Cheers guys thanks for your help.
With that in mind can I activate 30 vm ports on a MXe controller without adding an additional DSP? The notes say the MXe has 2 quad dsps on board.

You need the advanced voicemail option to get the 3300 ports and I think the new Quad DSP's are enough for the addional ports. I think only the older controllers needed a DSP added for the additional ports. I am not positive on this so you might want to check the hardware guide.

Thanks all!

Could anyone recommend a cheap RAD device??

Why do you need a RAD device when you have them inbuilt on the 3300?
Surely you should be able to release one voicemail port to work as a RAD
If your controller does not have voicemail then you can just buy 1 or 2 Voicemail licences to get it enabled and then you can have 20+ RAD's

I've got 20 but they are all full. We have work coming in from various suppliers, each with their own ACD path and custom RAD.

You could try Interalia, but they will probably be the same price as a DSP module
