Hey folks,

I am trying to use the vlookup function in MS ACCESS to match account numbers in two tables and send the results to a third table. I have looked all over in MODULES for this function and cannot find it. Can a VLOOKUP be done in an ACCESS database? and if so, how? I am willing to send a zipped copy of the data to pinpoint a solution.

In Access you do it by joining two tables. Use the query builder and specify both tables in the workspace. If the wizard doesn't automatically find the join, just use a drag-and-drop technique to drag the join column name from one table onto the join column name of the other.

Look in the help for the dlookup function,...it can be finicky though,...sometimes you have to put single quotes in your criteria.
