Using a VFP6 compiled app with Adobe Distiller 5 as a printer. Using the REPORT FORM TO PRINTER command, a PDF is supposed to be created with the name of the FRX file that was run. Usually this works, but sometimes it sends the output to a "Visual FoxPro.pdf" instead. Any ideas? TIA, mmund

report form to printer prints to the default printer or a printer you set with SET PRINTER. And if a printer is a pseudo printer like any PDF printer, the name of the output file is under control of the printer driver. In most cases the user is asked, in other cases the printer driver allows an option to set or has the output file name in a registry entry. But it's not part of Foxpro to determine what file the printer driver will create.

So you should ask Adobe Distiller experts how an outpuu file name is set or what the options are.

Bye, Olaf.
