just put the fields there? maybe i dont understand your question. are the fields you want (company name and store #) in the recordsource of the report? if so, just put the fields in the report header.

a text box is a text box, it holds data.
a label is a static thing, gets made automatically when you create a text box, or use toolbox button with the "A" on it.

You are confused because I don't think np3il is even referring to Access reports. It looks like he/she is creating DataReports which are only in Visual Basic. These are not Access reports however they can be used with Access data.
