Using Variable to Pass Data Between Reports

I am using CR XI. Using two subreports and using variables to pass data between reports. Variable come into the main reports just fine but on the wrong line.

For example.

Supplies 0.00 0.00 0.00
Services 100.00 200.00 100.00 This line should be on the
supply line.

You need to split your section into an (a) and (b) with the subreports saving the value in the (a) section and the formula using the shared variable in the (b) section.

You can make them appear to be on the same line by ticking "Underlay" on the (a) section.
