Is there a way to set up the report so that only one parameter or another can be selected? I have two parameters one called Segment and one called Lateral both with drop down lists. Is there a way to only allow the users to select one or the other?

Thanks

not sure but you could use 1 parameter to hold a dropdown list with the 2 initial options and then populate a 2nd parameter based off the choice made in the 1st....

We could learn a lot from crayons. Some are sharp, some are pretty and some are dull. Some have weird names and all are different colours but they all live in the same box.

Please read FAQ222-2244 before you ask a question

in the dataset you use for your dropdown, you can have a parameter which references the other field.

then you can just retrieve no records if the other field has a value entered.

you'll probably need to build a n/a value in both lists so that when one list is selected with n/a the other list can be automatically populated.
